The incumbent will provide information to client departments and individual employees regarding human resources and payroll matters, create human resources and payroll records for all new employees, update and maintain employee records, process payroll documents while adhering to strict deadlines, prepare monthly audit reconciliation reports, audit daily/monthly change reports, resolve payroll problems, and investigate discrepancies.Minimum Qualifications:I. EDUCATIONUniversity degree and/or acceptable equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required; enrollment in courses leading to a Certified HR Professional or Payroll Compliance Practitioner Program certification is an asset.II. EXPERIENCEMinimum of 2 years of payroll processing and human resources administration experience required, preferably in a University setting. Experience maintaining a human resource information system (HRIS), preferably SAP-based, is required. Experience with Kronos time management system is preferred. General knowledge of human resources practices and legislation, with specialization in payroll and/or benefits administration is required.III. SKILLSWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook required. Must have demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and effective problem-solving skills. Superior data entry skills and excellent accuracy and attention to detail are essential.IV.
