Job description:
• Full payroll function for salaried staff
• Processing and recons of overtime, claims, commissions, all other income
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishee & maintenance orders, payroll taxes and other deductions
• Ensure correct processing of leave and employee benefits and the maintenance of personal files
• Ensures that all financial capturing and processing is done in accordance with company policies and procedures while meeting deadlines
• Ensure accurate payroll updates, new employee engagement, terminations, job titles and changes to pay rates as well as monthly inputs received
• Annual & Bi-Annual reconciliation and submission of EMP501 via E@syFile & issuing of IRP5's
• Monthly reconciliation and submission of EMP201's via E@syFile
• Applying for tax directives and administering IT88's
• Monthly reconciliation and payment requests for 3rd party payments (Medical Aid/Mibco/all other 3rd party payments etc.)
• Maintain and submit monthly SAF claims to MIBCO
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Assists with all payroll queries
• Assist with department internal & external audits
• Create ESS profiles for employees and assist with registration and resetting of passwords.
• Assist with issuing UIF documentation for all types of benefits
• Assist with personnel loans processing, including deductions on payroll as well as invoicing
Requirements:
• Minimum matric with mathematics
• Minimum 5 years payroll experience
• Sage 300 People
• Microsoft Excel
• Code 08 license
• Confident and proactive approach – anticipates issues and requirements
• Attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Able to work overtime as and when needed
