Job Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's payroll operations. This includes processing employee pay, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of salaries, managing tax withholdings, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of payroll systems and processes.
Requirements:
Diploma in Finance, Human Resources or Related field.
+ 2 years experience with payroll software systems (Sage 300)
Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax procedures.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and payroll software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
Process and submit employee timesheets on a bi-weekly basis.
Monitor daily ERS Biometric system.
Verify and input employee hours, overtime, bonuses, allowances and deductions.
Manage payroll for different types of employees (e.g., full-time, part-time and consultants).
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports, including EMP-201, IRP5 and UIF.
Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee information.
Administer and troubleshoot payroll software and systems (Sage 300).
Update payroll system with changes to employee information, pay rates, and deductions.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in payroll records.
Add new employees on the system.
Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Provide guidance on payroll-related matters such as deductions, tax withholdings, and overtime issues.
Maintain up-to-date records of all payroll-related documentation.
Prepare and process employment verification requests and other related documents.
Monthly Filing.
Work closely with HR Officers and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee information and financial data.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
