Job Description Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a Payroll Administrator based at the client in Boksburg.
Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g.
salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments) Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems.
Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g.
new recruits, terminations, increases) and system upgrades.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, bargaining councils and internal policies.
Supervise and coach payroll clerks and assistants.
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
Collaborate with other internal departments.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
WCA calculations and submissions.
IOD submissions.
Direct EFT transfers to employees' bank accounts.
Reconciliation and payments of all third-party payments.
Administration, reconciliation and payment of all Union and Bargaining Council fees.
Employment Equity record keeping.
Full SARS / UIF reporting including monthly and annual returns.
EMP201 and EMP501 submission.
Requirements Proven 10 years' experience in payroll role.
Training certificates and or qualifications in Payroll essential.
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
Familiarity with payroll software (SAGE 300) Meticulous.
An analytical mind and good mathematical skills.
Management and leadership skills.
Assertive.
Seeking a highly skilled payroll supervisor who can take charge of all payroll functions.
Primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll expenses and taxes.
Collaborating with professionals from various departments will be key aspects of your role.
Seeking an individual who is analytical, methodical, and experienced in payroll administration.
A deep understanding of payroll regulations is crucial.
Additionally, we value qualities such as integrity, team spirit, and strong organizational skills.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in financial accounting, preferably within the security and construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (IFRS).
• Experienced and independent person to oversee finance department, plan and balance multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel partner) and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize time and work effectively.
