Our client is recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their team

Job Purpose: The Payroll Administrator position involves capturing, auditing, administering, and maintaining employee master data and payroll transactions. Additionally, the administrator is tasked with correcting payroll errors, and responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll. Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric)Min 2 years' practical payroll experience Exposure to payroll systems (NetSuite payroll system would be advantageous)Familiar with payroll compliance and legalitiesFully bilingual in English (Read, Write, Speak)Intermediate proficiency on Excel spreadsheets, with knowledge of mathematical formulas, VLOOKUP etc. Strong administration skillsFinancial/ Numerical AcumenPayroll leadership and supervisory experience would be advantageousValid work-permit (if applicable)Duties and Responsibilities: Payroll and Financial Administration Audit all employee master data and transactional payroll submissionsCheck all input documents before capturing to ensure that all fields are correctly completed, and the document is properly signed off and authorisedDevelop an employee record by processing employee data and remuneration directivesVerify correctness of data template to source data, correct errors, and upload data on the systemIdentify data mismatches by running reports and audit trails and verifying data on the systemPrepare and check reports and data for accuracy by verifying correctness of input to source documentationInitiate / take corrective action for any errors foundVerify that there are no errors on the system data by running positive and negative audit trailsDeal with payroll related queriesContinuously stive to improve financial systems, policies, and proceduresPersonal, Knowledge and Development Continuous self-development through research, reading and/or studyingActively embracing the company's core values and ethics by applying in day-to-day interactions and transactionsContribute towards best practice principlesCreation of HR related training manuals / modules / content to upskill employeesStaying up to date of industry trends, tools, practices, and advances in technologyFacilitation of employee workshops on ad-hoc basisLead and manage by example and integrityEfficiency and Quality Deliver consistent high levels of quality in all tasksConsistent application of Policies and ProceduresTo independently plan day to day tasksEnsure efficient decision making and consistently endeavoring to work smartAd-Hoc Provide assistance and accept and perform any reasonable request from your direct managerActively participate in Payroll projects and initiativesAssistance with creation and development of Payroll related systems and automationInformation Security Comply with all Information Security Policies, processes and procedures as issued, or updated from time to timeNon-compliance to any policy, procedure or process will result in the company having to enforce its disciplinary processYou are to report any suspicious or irregular information security type events to your Line Manager or Head of IT. E.g., Phishing Emails or SpamSalary: R15 000 – R25 000 CTC per month (Depending on experience) Hours: Full time (Monday to Friday) 08h00 to 17h00
