Payroll Accountant

Fantastic opportunity to join a lovely finance team as their Payroll Accountant. The role reports to the Head of Finance and requires a good base of payroll and accounting skills, ideally with Sage People experience, too.

Responsibilities: Full payroll administration, including VIP and setting up payment batches on the online portalPayslips and IRP5s, Group Life and Disability Benefits, Medical Aid and Provident Fund, UIFWCALeave system maintenanceMid-year and tax year-end SARS reconciliations and submissionsManage all payroll, benefits, and tax queriesProcess employee movements (new employees and terminations)Record allowances and fringe benefitsPrepare and update monthly salary forecast and provisionsPrepare monthly payroll reconciliations and clear all reconciling items timeouslyPrepare payroll cash books for group companies and related staff trustsHandle investment instructionsPrepare salary increase lettersPrepare bank reconciliations as well as third-party
