Payroll Accountant - Johannesburg North - GautengMy client, a legal company in Johannesburg North, is urgently hiring for a Payroll Accountant.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Tax Compliance: Prepare and file payroll-related tax returns, including PAYE, UIF, and other statutory deductions.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, payroll summaries, and reports.Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring accuracy in payments and deductions.Audits: Assist with internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Reporting: Generate payroll reports for management, including salary breakdowns, tax liabilities, and other payroll-related data.Problem Solving: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues raised by employees or management.Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll information.Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll accounting or a related role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Pastel) and MS Excel.Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing payroll and handling financial data.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with employees and management.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently.PreferredCertification in payroll management or related qualifications.Salary: R30k
