Qualifications:Matric Certificate with Maths and Accounting (MathsLiteracy is not sufficient);B Com Accounting / Finance Degree; andPostgraduate qualification in Tax will beadvantageous.Key ResponsibilitiesEMP201 and EMP501 reconciliations and submissions on SARS e@asyFile and SARS EfilingApply for Tax Directive's where applicableApply for Letters of Good Standing from SARSCompile data for Employment Equity reportingCompile and submit data for Stats SAEnsuring the payroll system applies the correct definitions of income/remuneration for components such as COIDA, UIF, PAYE, in order to correctly calculate deductionsEnsure that provisions calculate correctlyEnsure that Retirement Benefit deductions calculate correctly - (Approved vs Unapproved funds)Ensure that all fringe benefits are accurately taxed;Management of IT88/AA88 process and deductions in line with SARS's Agent Appointment and BCEAEssential Management of taxes for independent contractors and expats;Assist and advise Payroll Services team of income tax implications and relevant changesAssisting with ad hoc queries related to employee tax consequencesAssist with the implementation of payroll transactionsEnhancing processes to mitigate risksPerform sample audits of all payroll input, and agree to current individual tax legislationRecalculate tax for accuracy as and when requestedIdentify and rectify discrepancies within payroll systemAssist with employee's tax issuesPerform ad hoc duties as and when required#J-18808-Ljbffr
