Hospitality and Outdoor- New Vacancy- Pastry Chef Upmarket Restaurant- Sunningdale Area, Cape Town Exclusive Upmarket Restaurant is seeking a passionate and creative Pastry Chef to join their team. Responsibilities will include crafting exquisite desserts, platters, high teas, cakes, etc., designing seasonal menus, and developing new recipes that exceed customer expectations. Only candidates living in Sunningdale, Blouberg, Table View area, etc., will be considered due to logistics.

Requirements: Relevant qualifications in Patisserie/Culinary arts Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Pastry Chef Strong knowledge of baking/patisserie techniques Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene principles Artistic skill in dessert presentation- creative and authentic flair Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours Independent and responsible, can work without supervision and plan accordingly Incredibly detail-oriented and meticulous in the execution of their work Key Responsibilities: Manage the pastry section and collaborate with executive and sous chefs Prepare ingredients needed and operate relevant kitchen equipment Create and decorate pastries, baked goods, and confections to a high degree of detail Develop innovative recipes for seasonal menus- keep up with current trends in the pastry world, constantly evolving ideas and recipes Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed- minimize wastage and maintain a good level of stock control for constant turnover as needed Package: Salary: R15 000- R18 000 CTC Live out Must reside in the area of Sunningdale/Parklands/Table View Staff transport can be provided from surrounding areas Starting Date: ASAP
