Exciting Opportunity: Pastry Chef de Partie
An exceptional opportunity is available for a Chef de Partie to join a prestigious Pastry Department. This role demands a passion for culinary excellence, adeptness in fast-paced environments, and a commitment to surpassing expectations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Demonstrated passion and dedication to the culinary arts.
Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming demeanor.
Effective communication abilities with colleagues, superiors, and guests.
Minimum Grade 12 qualification and completion of 6 months formal chef's training.
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Commis Chef in a 4*/5* establishment.
Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is advantageous.
Physical and mental resilience to excel in a demanding, high-pressure role.
Flexibility to assist with various tasks and projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and presentation of dishes to exacting 5-star standards, accommodating guest preferences and dietary needs.
Contribution of innovative ideas to enhance revenue streams and business opportunities.
Support to the Sous Chef in menu development, trend analysis, and implementation.
Oversight of stock levels, costing, rotation, and inventory management.
Supervision, motivation, training, and performance management of kitchen staff.
Maintenance of Operating Equipment (OE) to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
Adherence to stringent health, safety, cleanliness, recycling, pest control, and waste management protocols.
Additional Requirements:
Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts.
