Pastel Accountant

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Pastel Accountant to join our client's team in Cape Town. Our client is a reputable company and is looking for a motivated individual with experience in using Pastel accounting software. As a Pastel Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing several entitiesProcess all bank statements, supplier and journal entries up to Trial balancePrepare monthly financial reportsProcess payments on online bankingProcess and reconcile supplier accountsReconcile General Ledger accountsPetty cash control and reconciliationBad debt control and disbursementsFull creditors functions - updating of all creditors contracts and renewalsVAT reconciliation and control and e-filing submissionProcess on Profsoft CRM system daily - maintenance of clients and reporting functionsMaintain orderly file recordsResponsible for IT coordination, insurance reviews/ updates and renewalsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldProven experience as an AccountantStrong knowledge of Pastel accounting softwareProficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting toolsAttention to detail and excellent analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in a team and meet deadlinesBenefitsSalary: NegotiableIf you have a passion for numbers and a strong background in accounting, we encourage you to apply for this position.
