2 years in a managerial role with a BComm degree Majoring in financial accounting Requirements Grade 12BComm degree, majoring in Financial Accounting minimum, a prerequisite.Completed Articled.Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting department2 years' in a management positionKnowledge of the bus passenger industryKnowledge of GAAP, GRAP, IFRS, Accounting and Auditing principles and practicesKnowledge of Human Resources, and Industrial Relations practices and procedures/related legislation  Responsibilities Supervision of FinancePreparation of month end and year end journals.Check Trial balance/General ledgerPreparation of monthly General Ledger reconciliationsControl Accounts Payable function (Capturing invoices, preparing reconciliations and payments).Check monthly cashbook.Oversee the credit control functionCompletion of monthly VATRegular internal auditsConduct audits of Stock-takes.Maintain fixed asset registerFinancial reportsAnnual budgets.Annual external audit.
