Job Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the below-mentioned functions in the Parts department and work very closely with the Assistant Parts Manager to ensure the daily operation of the department runs smoothly.
Responsibilities: Assist internal and external customers with their Spare Parts requirements. Loading of parts onto WIPs for quotations on point of Sale. Booking out/backordering of parts to jobs, whilst following the procedures in place. Following up on customer quotes. Invoicing customer orders and following it through until delivered/collection. Keeping customers informed on their backorders timeously – internal and external. Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities including company cross-selling and marketing. Will be required to assist with stock counts and work after hours occasionally. Qualifications and Competencies Required: Matric. Autoline experience advantageous. Must be computer literate to be able to work on Microsoft, Excel, and Word. Experience and knowledge in Forklift parts. Must know how to read a Parts manual. Must be a logical thinker. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Sales soft skills with good communication. Must have a valid Driver's license. Must be technically minded and willing to learn. Must be trustworthy, reliable, and of sober habits. Must have good work ethics and practices. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
