Key performance areas/Core functions: The lecturer in the Department of Primary Education, in the School of Education, is an academic leader responsible for teaching and managing activities of teaching and learning. In addition, he/she/they must: be a content specialist and have the capacity to facilitate, Subject Didactics: Language IV. within the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Department of Primary Education. be a strategic and innovative thinker, with excellent conceptualization and analytical skills. be a self-starter and be able to interact with others on all levels, including supervisors, colleagues, and students. demonstrate academic skills in the curricula processes in accordance with the current developments in line with the Minimum Requirements for Teacher Education Qualifications (MRTEQ). create a collegial environment of intellectual exchange and infuse critical thinking and learning in the department. have experience in creating and managing team-oriented tasks. have efficient and administrative skills and be highly computer literate. A master's degree in the following field: Education
Minimum requirements: Academic qualifications: Expertise in Subject Didactics: Language iv A formal teaching qualification in the General Education and Training Band (GET) with Foundation Phase qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education degree, Junior Primary Teacher's Diploma or equivalent).
Experience: Three years lecturing experience within higher education is required. Knowledge in the following areas of study: Subject Didactics: Language IV or taught Didactics for Language and/ or Language or Literacy at the school environment for at least 3 years. Added advantage: Teaching experience at Primary School.
