Job Description Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 5 months contract.
Work set up: In-office/remote Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a detail-oriented contractor to manage HR and payroll responsibilities for a nuclear facility project.
This position will cover key tasks while an HR team member is on maternity leave.
The role involves payroll coordination, recruitment, and onboarding for independent contractors in collaboration with project leadership.
What you will do: Payroll Coordination (Ongoing): Manage invoice approval and communications with contractors and payroll vendor.
Gather and verify invoices, input details into spreadsheets, and submit to the payroll vendor for invoicing.
Ensure payments are processed for 75 independent contractors twice monthly (15th and end of month).
Track and follow up on late invoices by Monday deadlines.
Recruitment (Sporadic): Screen resumes to match position requirements.
Submit candidate profiles to the project manager and VP.
Coordinate interview scheduling and onboarding for new hires.
Facilitate intensive security clearances, including 10-year background and national criminal checks.
Onboarding and Documentation: Ensure accuracy in onboarding paperwork and processes.
Maintain thorough records to comply with nuclear facility standards.
Qualifications Proven experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle high-security documentation.
Experience working with contractors and remote teams is preferred.
