Part-Time Finance Assistant ( Fashion Industry )

Part-Time Finance Assistant Location: Fully Remote, South Africa-BasedWorking UK hours ( 20hrs per month )Salary : TBCRole Overview:We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Part-Time Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of our business. This individual will handle core finance functions, ensuring data accuracy, organized records, and timely reporting to facilitate informed decision-making. Working closely with the General Manager, this role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance who enjoys working independently in a remote setting.Responsibilities: Financial Administration: Perform reconciliations, VAT returns, and maintain well-organized financial records. Track and manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Update and maintain financial data in Xero, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Cash Flow & Reporting Support: Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and other financial reports as needed, providing insights to support budget planning. Generate financial statements and contribute to monthly budget reviews and financial analysis. Data Management & Organization: Ensure all financial data is properly documented, organized, and accessible for reporting purposes. Work with the General Manager to prepare data for board meetings, identifying key financial insights and updates. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role, preferably in the fashion, retail, or e-commerce sectors. Skills: Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software. Strong skills in data management, VAT, and reconciliations. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data processing. Qualities: Organized, proactive, and dependable; excellent communicator with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
