Job DescriptionA marketing and communications agency is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and be proficient in bookkeeping software. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring that financial reports are prepared in compliance with accounting standards. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. 4.5 hours per day required in-office with some remote days (hours may go up and will be remunerated accordingly).Responsibilities:Record financial transactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers.Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.Maintain confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data.RequirementsProven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting (e.g., AAT, CPA) preferred.
