Job DescriptionA well-known export beverage company in the wine industry is looking for a talented part-time Bookkeeper / Administrator to join their finance team and support the financial operations of their international office in Zambia. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, coupled with a keen ability to work with various currencies and maintain a high level of accuracy in their work. This is a part-time, in-office position 2.5 days per week.Responsibilities:Data entryAssist with updating Cash BookHelp to maintain Accounts Receivable Function:Assist with invoicingOpen new customer accountsHelp to maintain Accounts Payable Function:Capture local supplier invoicesCapture monthly invoices from suppliersReconcile accounts as neededCapture petty cash expenses and ensure accounts match physical cash on handWork closely with internal and external parties in Zambia and South Africa; accounting firm, company auditors and clearing agentsAssist with website administration and stock / pricing updates for online storeOther administrative duties as requiredRequirementsRecognised Bookkeeping Certificate or qualification (preferably Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field)Two years' experience working in accounts payable and receivable and general ledgerStrong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferableUnderstanding of tax, VAT and cash flow computationsGood understanding of the accounting implications of dealing with FOREXExcellent attention to detailBenefitsThis is a part-time, in-office position 2.5 days per week.
