Job title : Parliamentary Research Manager Job Location : Western Cape, Cape Town Deadline : January 18, 2025 Quick Recommended Links Jobs by Location Job by industries The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing a team of parliamentary researchers with the aim of providing members of the DA parliamentary caucus with: Quality research and procedural support in Parliament that would effectively drive strategic issues Quality and strategic legislation research and analysis in Parliament Managing the functioning of the Parliamentary Research Unit Requirements Minimum requirements: Relevant Bachelor's degree Postgraduate degree (advantageous) Prior research experience (highly advantageous) Relevant staff management experience, including on project basis or completion of the Party's Management Readiness Programme (applicable to internal candidates) 3 years' experience working in a national or provincial legislature, government or legal practice Computer literacy, particularly MS Office suite Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for occasional use Skills: Time management Written and verbal communication Administration and organisation Team management Conflict management Law / Legal  jobs
