South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, based in the UK, provides a range of emergency, urgent care and non-emergency healthcare services, along with commercial logistics services.
The Trust delivers most of these services to the populations of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire as well as non-emergency patient transport services in Surrey and Sussex.
We serve a population of over 7 million and answer over 500,000 urgent calls a year. We employ 4,551 staff who, together with over 1,100 volunteers, enable us to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We are Recruiting Internationally Educated Paramedics to join our team.
To apply for this position you will need to register as a paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Remuneration for paramedics without a completed training period in Great Britain ("NQP portfolio") is at the band 5 level (NHS Agenda for Change pay poster 2023/24 | NHS Employers).

You'll need to have the following:

Paramedic Science degree

Overseas police check
A full valid manual driving licence that is easily converted to a UK licence with no more than 3 points.
Able to commit to on-going shift work
Evidence of knowledge of English as per the Health and Care Worker visa requirements (if applicable)
Experience of lifting and moving patients

Job responsibilities

The NQP will be expected to operate within Trust clinical policies, JRCALC guidelines, protocols, procedures and SOPs and seek advice or refer to a more senior clinical colleague when a decision to deviate is needed.
Responds to emergency and urgent calls, delivering high quality and effective pre-hospital care.
Carry out assessment, care, treatment and transportation of patients as an operational practitioner, working in a variety of locations.
Post-holders will initiate appropriate care and effective treatment to patients in pre-hospital environment.
