Employer Description Our client is a solar energy solutions company. Job Description You will be responsible for the following: Oversee and manage the Engineering Department. Lead the engineering aspect of solar PV projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budgetary constraints, and project timelines. Spearhead the design and development of solar PV systems, overseeing the creation of electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and layout plans. Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex electrical engineering issues, including system optimization, grid integration, and performance enhancement. Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols and standards. Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand project requirements, address technical inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction. Qualifications BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering. PrEng registered (Advantage) Skills 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy and solar PV systems. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools (e.g., Helioscope, PVsyst, PVSol). Proven track record of successfully managing teams and leading complex projects from concept to completion. Proven track record of commissioning large BESS (battery energy storage) systems including generator integration. In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to solar energy projects.
