Ceres Fruit Growers, one of the leading fruit, packaging and marketing companies in SA, has the above position available for an energetic and professional person, with excellent analytical problem-solving skills and numerical abilities to join their team at their Ceres (Western Cape) offices.
The incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to):Managing controls and systems regarding buying, issuing, and general stock managementWorking closely with the production planner, forecasting supply and demand to have optimal stock levelsEnsuring packing material stock availability for marketing requirementsSupervising inventory counting processes and information management reportingInvestigating and clearing inventory variancesIssuing daily/weekly purchase orders and following up on outstanding ordersManaging the administrative functions to ensure accurate stock on the system, reconciliations, inventory targets, and purchase ordersMaintaining relationships with suppliersEnsuring adherence to SHEQ/BRC and relevant fruit industry standards and auditsPersonnel managementAny other tasks related to the role.Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:Cost Accounting/Logistics or similar tertiary qualification3 - 5 Years' related experienceComputer literacy: MS Office (strong Excel ability)Experience in managing a high-volume goods environment, forecasting, management of stock, and purchasingPrevious experience in the fruit industry advantageousKnowledge of supplier database for packaging materialIn line with CFG's Employment Equity policy and requirements, preference will be given to suitably qualified persons from designated groups.
