CAREER OPPORTUNITY OGIES PACKING CO-ORDINATOR Role description: Responsible for managing the packaging operation in order to pack product to the correct quality and model stock, to optimize productivity, utilizing the equipment in a safe and effective manner achieving installed capacity.
Required skills and qualifications: Grade 12 Min 5 years packaging experience in production environment of which 2 years at management level (FMCG Food Manufacturing) Previous Mill experience will be advantageous.
Technical background will be beneficial.
Experience on Packing Machinery (Form Fill & Seal) Computer Literacy.
(Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Supervisor / Management training / Skills Own Transport & must be able to work shifts Customer service orientated and quality Drive continuous improvement processes, Focus on quality, problem solving, Productivity focussed.
Budgeting & Cost management The tasks will include but are not limited to: Internal and external communication to all Packing Employees.
Ensure sufficient stock is planned for packing to meet model stock requirements.
Ensure the correct raw material and packing material are used in your department.
Optimise packing efficiency of all packers and ensure OEE benchmarks are achieved at all times.
Value Drivers managed daily to achieve targets set out by the company by using the CIPs.
Environmental impact identified in your department and managed to reduce waste.
Quality assurance on packing lines comply with requirements.
Packing to consistent pack presentation and product profile.
All packed products to comply with specifications.
Reduce damages in department to ensure targets met.
Ensure equipment used to capacity and useful life is maximized.
Daily assessment and analyses of figures ensuring accurate results and performance managed.
Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports as per requirements.
Daily Infocom sessions with staff managing performance in your department.
Manage housekeeping (GMPs) to ensure 0 infestation in your areas.
Attend meetings as per frequencies and participate in meetings as per your accountabilitys.
Ensure Food Safety Management System (FSSC22000) is adhered to.
Ensure compliance to all Human Safety requirements and legislation.
Managing of employees in your department and executing all HR policies and Procedures.
Ensure all staff in your area is adequately trained for the duties they follow daily.
Identify training needs in your department.
