Minimum requirements:Grade 12Min of 5 year's packaging experience in the food production environment of which 2 years at management level.Proficient in MS OfficeSupervisory/management training / skillsOwn transport - must be able to work shiftsCustomer service orientatedDrive continuous improvement processesFocus on quality, problem solving and productivityBudget and cost managementExperience in packing machineryTechnical background will be advantageousRole and responsibilities:Ensure sufficient stock is planned for packing to meet model stock requirementsEnsure the correct raw material and packing material are used in the department Efficient communication to all packing employees at all timesOptimize packing efficiency of all packers and ensure OEE benchmarks are achieved at all timesDaily management of Drivers to achieve their targets as set out by the CompanyIdentify environmental impact in your department and manage to reduce wasteEnsure quality on packing lines comply with Company standardsEnsure packed products comply with specificationsReduce damages and ensure targets are metEnsure equipment is used to full capacityCompile reports as per requirementsDaily invocom sessions, managing staff performanceManage housekeeping (GMP's) to ensure zero infestation in your areaAttend meetings as per requirementEnsure food safety (FSSC22000) is adhered toEnsure compliance to health and safety regulationsExecute HR policies and proceduresIdentify training needs / ensure all staff are adequately trained in your departmentRequired personal attributes:Excellent communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsResilient and agileMaintain professional, and focus on customer service at all timesAbility to perform effectively in a high-pressurized environmentDeadline driven and detail orientated
