Packhouse Grading Assistant

Grading AssistantA position has arisen for a grading assistant to support the Grading Manager in the day-to-day operations of grading greens and flowers.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in supervising and running of Greens/Fillers grading and cleaning pack lines.Ensure graders and Cleaners are punctual and work quickly, effectively and properly.Train new staff to do tasks.Ensure safe work conditions and SOPs are always followed.Support to ensure that all Purchase Orders are kept up to date and submitted on time.Constant communication with harvesters on any quality defects.Support in the maintenance and cleanliness of Pack House, including all equipment.Communicate daily with the Manager and provide feedback on employee performance.Provide ideas to improve efficiencies and maintain packhouse pace.Execute orders or Targets according to the Manager's instructions.Supports packhouse leaders in proper FIFO rotation of greens and Flowers.Update of performance board.Staff register and timesheets.RequirementsLeads by example.Ability to work with 50 to 60 people.Previous Packhouse experience.Laser-focused attention to detail.Great multitasking abilities.Desire to grow and learn.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to stand for a full 9-hour shift.A willingness and desire to assist in unrelated or unassigned tasks to ensure the effective operation of PH.Must be a problem solver and be capable of identifying areas of efficiency.Working knowledge or willingness to learn Outlook, Word, and Excel.RemunerationMarket related.Performance bonus based on meeting targets and units produced.Transport and accommodation provided.Interested candidates send a detailed resume to ****** Types: Full-time, PermanentApplication Deadline: 2024/07/31
