Packaging Supervisor

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Packaging Supervisor to lead their Packing and Filling Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient supervision of staff and managing production activities to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities: Open and close production lines according to the filling and packing schedule.
Advise on production schedules based on resource availability and weekly production plans.
Execute daily production plans, including resource allocation and target achievement.
Monitor and measure production performance against planned units and batch yields.
Ensure product quality standards are met and report any issues to management.
Reconcile incoming and outgoing stock per batch, manage waste segregation, and apply stock rotation systems (FIFO/FEFO).
Manage equipment maintenance and ensure that all equipment is fit for purpose.
Plan labor output and manage staff performance, including conducting performance appraisals and managing time & attendance.
Identify and address training needs, both internal (SOP training) and external.
Promote and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a production environment, preferably in manufacturing.
Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent, including math and science.
