Don't miss out apply today!ResponsibilitiesPackaging concept, design and artwork deliveryCreate packaging designs for new products based on global brand standardsEvolve packaging artwork to a harmonized global standard in line with new brand guidelinesWork closely and align with the Group Packaging Engineer and Group Sustainability analystProduce approved artwork designs in print ready format.Liaise with third party printers and suppliers to specify substrates, print techniques, paper engineering and special finishes.Manage the sampling process with third party printers and suppliers.Custodianship: Maintain the brands global packaging library, upload artwork to a centralised database, and execute any running changes to existing artworkMaintain the brands global brand guidelines document.RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Graphic DesignMinimum of 4 - 5 years experience in packaging design, either in a FMCG company or agency environmentProfessional image able to present well with global colleaguesStrong planning, organisation, priority setting, and project management skillsAbility to multitask effectively; changing priorities based on timeline expectationsExcellent communication skillsMicrosoft and Adobe Creative Suite essentialSolution-oriented mindsetAny experience with premium or aspirational brands will be a plusDiligentHigh integrityDetail-oriented mindset is key for this roleAbility to work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environmentFluency in English is a mustStay up to date with emerging trends, software, and techniques relevant to packaging designPrior packaging design for premium brands is an asset - DesirableExposure to working in international markets considered a plus - DesirableThe role is based in Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa.
