Package Lead: Concentrator - Mining - Northern CapeOur client, an international Mining company, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Package Lead: Concentrator to oversee and optimize the concentrator operations at their mining site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mineral processing, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the concentrator plant.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the concentrator team, ensuring all operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.Monitor and evaluate the concentrator processes to maximize efficiency, throughput, and recovery rates. Implement improvements and troubleshooting strategies as necessary.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the concentrator operations. Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for enhancement.Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.Prepare and present regular reports on concentrator performance, operational issues, and improvement initiatives to senior management.Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient operation and adherence to budget constraints.Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Education and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.Minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience in mineral processing or a related field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Strong understanding of concentrator processes, equipment, and technologies.Experience with process control systems and data analysis tools is preferred.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a mining environment.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions and priorities.Salary: Market Related
