Opcare's London and surrounding area (OCS) covers 13 NHS Trusts, including Great Ormond Street, The National Hospital of Neuro and Neurosurgery, UCLH and Chelsea and Westminster.
OCS runs some of the leading MDT clinics in the UK, from joint diabetic clinics with leading international diabetic podiatry surgeons, complex neuro clinics at NHNN, scoliosis clinics, complex paediatric clinics at Great Ormond Street and complex KAFO clinics.
This dynamic range of extended practices and complex MDTs provides a great opportunity to be exposed to interesting and varied caseloads.
Job Summary: We are currently seeking three experienced Orthotists who are looking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic team in London and Surrounding areas. We can offer full time or part time positions in some of London's prestigious hospitals.
The role will involve working with a complex clinical caseload, presenting exciting opportunities to develop clinical and leadership skillsets.
Due to working with some of London's most prestigious hospitals, this opens the opportunity for career development into specialist areas and leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Some key responsibilities include:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the serviceWork closely with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs)Lead initiatives within the centre service development planConduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their orthotic needsDevelop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plansStay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practicesProvide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment processAssess, measure, cast, fit, supply, review and adjust orthoses as requiredMaintain appropriate clinical notesThe role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service improvements for the betterment of patients in London and Surrounding areas (OCS).
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team, supported with local, regional, and national training to develop their clinical skills. We aim to deliver a first-class service for users while applying the most advanced clinical and technical solutions available to patients.
Qualifications: Either:
Certified OrthotistHND in OrthoticsBSc in OrthoticsMust also be fully HCPC Registered and preferably a member of BAPO.
