Job Description- As our Ore Feed Planning Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Safety, Health, and Environment
Manage a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
Keep environmental impact within statutory requirements to ensure compliance.
Active participation in VFLs, Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
Performance and Delivery
Short-term Planning
Ensure an accurate daily feed plan is achieved and aligned with the monthly plan and current mining operations.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Ensure plans are adjusted according to operations conditions, geological deviations, plant needs and fluctuations to reach production targets.
Ensure the feed plan aligns with production clients and plant expectations.
Compliance
Ensure that the designed plans follow mine planning and health and safety standards.
Ensure that the design plan complies with the month plan.
Safety and Healthy Work Environment
Adhere to a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
Keep environmental impact within statutory requirements to ensure compliance is met.
This role is in the Technical & Integrated Planning (T&IP) NC discipline at a 6.10 level reporting to Section Manager Operational Planning.
Qualifications
National Diploma in Geology or Mining or Engineering (NQF6)
B.Sc. Degree in Geology or Mining Engineering / (B. Tech in Mining Engineering)
SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
3-5 years of relevant experience in mine planning in the mining industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of the mining production processes, including exploration, extraction, and processing techniques.
In-depth understanding of the plant processes involved in mining production, including plant design, operation, and maintenance.
Expertise in ore feed blend and optimisation, including selecting appropriate feed sources and managing feed quality.
