We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer with deep expertise in Oracle systems and business intelligence (BI) to join our team on a contract basis within the Financial Services sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining PL/SQL code for critical banking applications, ensuring data integrity and enhancing data-driven insights for business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: PL/SQL Development: Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL code for Oracle databases to support data processing, transformation, and reporting needs within a banking environment.Data Warehousing: Collaborate on data warehousing initiatives, focusing on building and maintaining data pipelines within Oracle databases to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of high-volume financial data.Data Integration: Use PL/SQL to integrate various data sources into the Oracle data warehouse, enabling seamless data flow across systems and supporting analytical requirements.Data Governance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with data governance standards, document PL/SQL processes, and maintain business glossaries to ensure transparency and consistency in data usage.Database Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize PL/SQL queries and Oracle database performance to ensure efficient handling of large datasets.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT, to ensure PL/SQL solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements.Optional Expertise: Experience with Ab Initio or other ETL tools would be beneficial for managing large-scale data processing tasks.
Required Experience and Skills: Expertise in PL/SQL Development within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on designing, optimizing, and managing complex Oracle-based solutions.Strong knowledge of Oracle data solutions and hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts.Proficiency in data governance practices, including documentation and business glossary management.Ability to integrate various data sources and create robust data pipelines using PL/SQL.Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing data processing for high-volume financial datasets.Ab Initio experience is a plus.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.8+ years of experience in PL/SQL development or data engineering within the financial services sector.Please note that by submitting your personal information to Deka Minas, you consent to the use of your data for employment purposes.
