Key Deliverables / Primary FunctionsInstall and configure Storage devices and Storage Area Networks according to best practise guidelines.Plan and implement firmware upgrades and address vulnerabilities of all storage devices and SAN infrastructure.Zone initiators and targets and conduct regular zone and alias maintenance in line with best practises.Perform disaster recovery using storage functions and features like replication, snapshots, and clones.Compile documentation and keep detailed baselines current and relevant to the environment.Monitor and configure dashboards for both proactive and reactive response approaches.Automate daily storage and SAN tasks to optimise and improve our services.Analyse storage data for proactive trending and troubleshooting, to improve availability and stability of the services we deliver.Core Functional Skills & CapabilitiesTroubleshootingInfrastructure TechnologyProblem solvingICT KnowledgeCore Behavioural CompetenciesWorking with peopleApplying expertise & TechnologyLearning & ResearchingCoping with pressures & setbacksMinimum QualificationsNQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science OR NQF 4: Grade 12
