Operator Trainer

Role Summary: Reporting to the Training Coordinator, the Operator Trainer plans and directs training activities with the customers by training, evaluating, and assessing machine operators on site, in order to ensure competent Company equipment operation.Accountabilities / Key Performance Areas:Train operators in the field to operate Company earthmoving / mining machinery.Skills:Customer service skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsMachine operating skillsPresenting informationTeam WorkTraining abilitySafety and Security - Observes safety and security proceduresCharacteristics:Evaluate operators for competency.Keep records of accredited training for the SETA's.Train operators on Construction and heavy-duty mining Machinery.Assess and evaluate operators at the completion of training in order to ensure an acceptable standard of practical and theoretical knowledge has been retained.Write reports and provide feedback.Maintain and improve documentation and notebooks.Maintain and improve training presentations.Drive safely to site and abide by the customer regulations.Adhere to Company policies and procedures.Prepared to be away for long periods of time.Prepared to work on site, mines, and remote areas.Qualifications:Post Matric QualificationAssessor and Moderator Certificate (NQF5)Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the operation and training of earthmoving equipment.Must be registered as an assessor at TETA or CETA - Will also train on forklifts and overhead cranes.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well detailed knowledge of other internal download programs.Skills:Ability to work aloneBrand loyalConfidential and professionalFit and activeHighly motivated with a positive attitudePleasant and cheerfulPersonal appearance reflects the standard of the brandResponsibleSelf-confident and assertiveTolerates stress and work pressureSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEducation and TrainingIndustriesManufacturing
