Qualifying Criteria: Grade 11 or equivalent qualificationCode 08 / 10 licenseMQA Competency B Certificate; Relevant qualifications, courses and operating licenses1-3 years' experience in a trackless mining environment is essential and required.Must have Dover Test Results in A or B or will be submitted for Dover TestingProficient in English and any other of the 11 official languagesApplicant must possess good verbal communication skills.South African CitizenshipClear Criminal RecordDeclared medically fit for the position by our OHPResponsibilities: Will be required to work shifts.Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)Assist with daily checks and weekly servicesBe observant / vigilant when the machine is operational and / or in motion.Road maintenance.Cuts, slopes and grades roadbeds and shoulders.Constructs and maintains roads and berms.Clear rock and mud slides from roadways.Excavate roadways and trenches.Perform other road maintenance construction operations.Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to Supervisor and Control RoomAlways take instructions from the Supervisor responsible for the area/workplaceManage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures, and practices.Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1's safety motto: "Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely."
