Title: Operations Support ManagerLocation: JohannesburgBudget: R740 000 CTC per annum Maximum This role involves leading a team of analysts specializing in financial and actuarial analysis, as well as quantitative analytics.
Reporting directly to the Head of Product and Actuarial, the ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of priorities, proactively escalate issues when challenges arise, and effectively guide the team to ensure timely delivery of support tasks.
Responsibilities:Lead a team of fund and quantitative analysts providing support to the Fund and Securities business unitsOversee and manage team support for Client Services, advisors, and Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), including assistance with client queries, new business support and operational tasks.Supervise and review policy revision calculations and support work for platform system enhancements.Drive the preparation and delivery of sales initiatives, control function reporting, and Business Unit metrics reporting.Conduct platform (LISP) landscape analysis and handle ad-hoc quantitative investigations as required by the business.Ensure daily uploads of prices for Life-priced funds.Uphold robust control standards for all team outputs and promptly inform the business of emerging or new risks.
What you will needBachelors degree in Investment Management, Insurance Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, or Financial Management.Familiarity with LISP platforms and long-term savings and investment products.Proficiency in programming and financial modeling skills.Advanced computer literacy, particularly in SQL, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and PowerBI.Team management experience is a plus.Experience with programming languages such as VBA, Python, or R is advantageous.
