RequirementsDegree (Logistics, Administration, Business Management) or related fieldsOwn vehicle3 years experience in courier and/or logistics in a similar roleMust have experience managing drivers, managing online deliveries, and/or e-commerce businessMust have experience and track record managing drivers and ground operations teamMust have experience in retail and supervising different locations/retailers in townships within Western Cape.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Operations ExecutiveManage driver assistants, control room team, as well as system administrators to ensure timeous delivery of orders and usage of the tech systemEnsure goods are packed for customer allocation into vehiclesAssist in the achievement of company objectives and KPIsTrack deliveries of ordersProcess order confirmations quickly and effectively, liaising with other departments where necessaryMonitor and manage the fleetChase drivers for overdue orders or other deliverablesManage customer service and fleet managementResolve issues where stock does not arrive exactly as it shouldProcess and report incidents through the use of incident reportsMaintain all documents relating to the department process in accordance with the company's quality requirementsCommunicate informed risks within the business to key stakeholdersPrepare presentations, reports, and analysisSupport the function of this departmentAvoid delays on order pick up and deliveryPrevent breakages of goods in transitManage time and attendance of drivers and assistantsConduct spot checks on the teams on dutyEnsure drivers log in on time when they arrive at the designated work station at the end clientAssist the driver with changing a puncture on routeAssist with picking of orders from store to vehicles if drivers are having challenges
