Hire Resolve's client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager that has experience with UPS systems to join their team in Cape Town, WC.
This key role involves overseeing high-level operational processes, HR functions, and technical responsibilities to ensure the organizations operations and procedures align with its strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership, drive productivity and efficiency, and foster a culture that supports performance and morale.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures aligned with the company's culture and vision.
Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing processes.
Identify and address business challenges and opportunities for growth.
Foster effective communication between workers and management, building forward strategies from constructive feedback.
Establish governance processes to achieve objectives, manage risks, and optimize resource utilization.
Lead and support business compliance and risk management programs.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on customer satisfaction.
Drive a performance-driven culture by leading and managing teams effectively.
Champion transformation initiatives aligned with inclusion and business requirements.
Provide technical support for UPS and battery technologies (VRLA and Lithium-Ion), including configuration, troubleshooting, and system understanding.
Assist sales teams by addressing customer technical inquiries and specifications for UPS and battery solutions.
Ensure availability to address customer needs promptly, minimizing disruptions to their operations.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Certifications related to UPS systems (e.g., Certified UPS Technician, electrical safety certifications) are advantageous.
5 years of experience with UPS systems and batteries.
2-5 years of team leadership experience.
2-3 years of project management experience.
Strong knowledge of UPS technologies, including online, offline, and line-interactive systems.
Familiarity with UPS and battery configuration and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to manage people and processes, with a track record of delivering results through others.
Technical expertise, business acumen, and industry knowledge.
