We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our construction projects, with a focus on aluminum-related work.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent costing, quality control, and quoting skills.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards Job Title: Operations Manager - Construction (Aluminum Experience Advantageous)   Location: Montague Gardens, Western Cape Reporting Line: Senior Project Manager Qualification Requirements: Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field would be advantageous Minimum 5+ years of experience in Construction Management, preferably with aluminum-related projects.
Proven track record of successful project delivery, with strong costing, quality control, and quoting skills.
Strong leadership and management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of construction regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:   Manage construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Oversee site operations, including safety management, quality control, and labor relations.
Develop and manage project budgets, including costing, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Prepare and submit accurate quotes and tenders, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage and mentor site staff, providing guidance and training to ensure skill development.
