Operations Manager - Furniture Removal Industry

Our client, a leading supplier of Transport, Distribution and Supply Chain Services in South Africa and Southern Africa, wants to appoint an Operations Manager for their Furniture Removal business unit at their Head Office in Kraaifontein, near Cape Town. Candidates should have at least 2 to 5 years' experience in the Furniture Removal business.ResponsibilitiesManaging all transportation or hauling needs within a business, such as budgets, schedules, and route planning.Assigning trucks, ensuring drivers know their routes, and keeping track of vehicle maintenance needs.Tracking loads, liaising with customers, and checking all areas of the supply chain for efficiency, while making sure operations continue to run smoothly.Completing all paperwork related to transportation, developing or revising transport policies for the company, and implementing plans that increase company profits.Communicating with other department managers to coordinate transport activities, settling customer complaints related to product deliveries, and hiring new employees as needed.RequirementsMatric / Grade 12, National Diploma / BTech / Degree: BCom Supply Chain / Logistics / Transport or BSc Industrial Engineering.2 - 5 years' experience in Furniture Removals.Excellent inventory and supply chain planning experience essential.Desired SkillsSupply Chain ManagementOperations managementPeople ManagementBudget ManagementCustomer LiaisonRoute planningManage a teamDesired Work Experience2 to 5 yearsDesired Qualification LevelDiplomaAbout The EmployerOur client is a leading supplier of Transport, Distribution and Supply Chain Services and would like to appoint an Operations Manager for their Furniture Removal Business at their Head Office in Kraaifontein.
