Operations Manager Director Durban

Ref: VJ 415036 - Operations Manager/Director (Machine Shop) – Durban Employer Description Our client is a manufacturer of mechanical parts for the mining, construction, and agricultural industries.
Job Description You will be responsible for the following: Run the planning, production, and day-to-day operations.
Supervise the facility's daily operations.
Walk the workshop floor, ensuring the correct parts are on the correct machines.
Liaise with the production manager, maintenance manager, and orders/deliveries manager.
Problem-solve with the maintenance manager on the shop floor.
Communicate with customers.
Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
Qualifications Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma or Trade Test (Fitter and Turner) with managerial experience.
Skills Minimum of 15 years experience, preferably in a machine shop (mills, lathes, etc.).
Must be able to read complex engineering drawings.
Proficient in the use of measuring equipment and have exposure to metal machining (turning, milling, heat treatment).
Basic financial knowledge is beneficial.
