Operations Manager - Commercial George

Overall Purpose of the Job:The incumbent will provide general management for the Commercial George business unit. The role encompasses responsibility for sales, new business, and relationship management on key clients.The incumbent is specifically tasked to achieve:Targeted unit salesNew BusinessIn addition, the incumbent plays a pivotal role in sales and technical efficiency and effectiveness in managing the Commercial business in Cape Town. The execution of strategy is critical to this role.Main duties & Responsibilities:Achieve targets as per BudgetDistrict P&L ResponsibilityAchieve targeted growth (achieving target revenue and attrition levels)Achieving targeted OI contributionImplementation of strategyCritical role in developing and maintaining strong relationshipsMatrix role-player – in conjunction with all role playersDrives efficiency and effectiveness by managing the Cape Town Commercial Team:Of sales teams in conjunctionOf technical teamsPlay an active role in escalated customer complaint resolutionMinimum qualifications and experience:University (Degree) – minimum requirement.3 years functional + 3 - 4 years managerialSolid Sales and marketing experienceSolid Business development experienceResults oriented with demonstrated performance in keeping and delivering commitments.Strong customer focusEffective oral and written communicatorProven high level comprehension of business processes, business finance and the subscriber model are requiredStrong business and financial acumen through demonstrated knowledge and ability to display the linkage between inputs and desired business results.Objective, open-minded and an "out-of-the-box" thinker.Behavioural Competencies and skills required:Business acumenInterpersonal skillsPresentation and communication skillsNegotiation skillsManagerial courageResults drivenInterpersonal Skills:Good communication skillsVerbal and writtenConflict managementStrong negotiation skillsMaintaining effective teamsCustomer focus and focus on continuous improvementEmpowerment mindset with team members
