About this role in the team: The Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and analysing operational data to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, implement scalable systems, and develop actionable insights that support business growth.
Key Areas of Responsibilities: Build, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards to track key operational metrics (e.g., speed of processing, transaction volumes, SLA compliance, error rates).Provide real-time reporting tools to enable data-driven decisions across the operations team.Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and align with the needs of stakeholders.Data Analysis & InsightsAnalyse operational data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.Conduct deep dives into workflows, transaction data, and service-level performance to uncover opportunities for optimisation.Develop models and forecasts to predict and address operational challenges.Identify and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Collaborate with process owners to implement data-driven changes that enhance performance.Monitor the impact of implemented improvements and provide regular updates to leadership.Collaboration & Cross-Functional SupportWork closely with product, engineering, compliance, and customer success teams to understand data needs and operational dependencies.Serve as the point of contact for resolving operational data issues.Collaborate with engineering teams to design systems that ensure data accuracy and efficient retrieval.Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve data handling and analysis.What we need from you: Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, operations research, statistics, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in data analysis, operations, or a similar role, preferably in fintech or a related industry.Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating datasets.Familiarity with operational metrics such as SLA adherence, error rates etc.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Strong communication skills for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.What you can expect from us: Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growthMeaningful ownership in the business through our employee option schemeFlexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heartA culture built on passionate growth minded peopleA flexible approach to holidayOpportunities to travel to our offices around the world, in locations such as London and Cape Town, to collaborate with your colleaguesAn open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, its culture, and its opportunity setsAt BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team.
