About the roleWe are looking for a young, dynamic person with excellent knowledge of the travel industry in Southern Africa who will be responsible for booking a trip from start to finish through securing accommodation, transport, and booking flights. You will report directly to the Operations Manager, who is responsible for various sold trips and ensuring that each trip runs smoothly. The role will not be limited to booking transport and accommodation; you will be responsible for communicating with suppliers to guarantee better rates and contacting the clients to help answer questions before and while they are travelling.
Charlie's Travels Southern Africa operates from Durban North. You will be working in a small team from here. Your duties and responsibilities, among others, entail the following:
Book all accommodations, transfers, activities, and flights.Management of full trips (once sold) from start to completion to South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, and Eswatini.Finalising supplier guidelines and protocols before a trip.Liaising with clients and suppliers while on trip.Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with key partners.Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction.Negotiate better rates with (new) partners.Working closely with the sales team to ensure trips are correctly sold and booked to minimise customer dissatisfaction.Minimum four years of work experience in the travel industry in Southern Africa.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Product knowledge of Southern Africa.Commercially minded, enthusiastic, and a team player.Organised, structured, and good time management.Able to work independently and take the initiative.Able to work remotely in an efficient manner and to stay connected.Able to travel when necessary to meet with customers and/or suppliers.Our offer….Competitive salary with the possibility to earn a bonus based on performance.The freedom to start your projects you feel passionate about.
