Basic Job Summary The purpose of this role is to align and drive the overall operations strategy for the Agency.
The operations and technology director heads up the resource management procurement production and facilities teams and is answerable to EXCO.
They ensure that the Agency operates in the most efficient effective and profitable manner through: management of the operational team robust but agile processes knowledge and implementation of the latest technology driving operational planning throughout the Agency Duties Areas of Output Essential Job Functions: PLANNING Highlevel resource planning and strategic resource management decisions Works with Resource Manager Client Service Heads and Creative Manager to ensure that the agency proactively addresses current and future work requirements Generates Production and Procurement plans for the year Ensures that all plans are drafted and implemented effectively Provides regular and documented updates to MD on all Agency plans PROCESSES Evaluating and refining agency processes Establishing scalable processes for Agency growth Developing implementing and refining operational procedures documents Ensuring that Agency time is effectively managed and accounted for Ensuring effective resource allocation and workflows to enable client management and process optimization Driving process improvement in workflows and technology Provides regular and documented feedback and updates to MD on all Agency processes and planned initiatives TECHNOLOGY Driving technological innovation in all aspects of operations Driving automation across the business Evaluation implementation and integration of scalable agency operations software Ensuring with Agency operations software is optimised for existing and future Agency processes Responsible for reporting accurately on Agency hours Harnessing the power of AI in automating any Agency processes Managing the threat that AI poses to Agency competitiveness Managing the adoption and change management of all new technologies throughout operations Collaborates with IT consultant on Agency technology requirements Provides regular and documented updates to MD on technology strategy and implementation initiatives PEOPLE Minimize staff turnover to maximize output Preempts human resource capacity issues Ensures that resource capacity planning is accurate and updated Creates a collaborative culture Assisting the People team with recruitment Drives high performance culture in Operational teams Collaborates with EXCO members to drive Agency strategy throughout operations Provides regular and documented updates to MD on People PROFIT Drives overall agency profitability through efficient processes planning technology and hiring practices Manages highlevel vendor relationships to ensure alignment and efficiency Drives profitability and quality in Agency production (print web etc) Provides strategies for reducing costs and driving profit in relevant departments Provides regular updates to MD on budgets and profitability estimates Requirements You must have at least 3 years of experience as an Operations and Technology Director on your CV along with relevant experience and three references.
