Job Overview:The Operations and Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and overseeing the planning and execution of marketing and company events. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure smooth business operations and successful event management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteProblem-solving skills with attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Office & Facilities Management: Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations, manage facility maintenance, and optimize office space.Inventory & Resource Management: Oversee office supply levels, equipment maintenance, and timely replenishment of resources.Vendor & Supplier Management: Manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and track performance of vendors for office supplies and events.Process Optimization: Analyze, document, and improve workflows across departments to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Assist with budget preparation and monitor spending for operations and events.Compliance with Health and Safety Protocols: Maintain adherence to safety protocols and conduct risk audits.Administrative Support: Provide scheduling, travel arrangements, and onboarding assistance, supporting overall staff needs.Reporting: Track performance metrics and prepare reports on operational and financial activities.Event Planning & Execution: Organize and execute marketing and company events, ensuring smooth logistics (guest lists, venues, catering, etc.).Vendor & Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with vendors, manage event logistics, and oversee event marketing efforts.Post-Event Analysis: Prepare feedback and reports for continuous improvement of future events.Qualifications and Experience Requirements:2+ years of experience in operations, event coordination, or a related role.Proven ability to manage projects and vendors.Knowledge of workplace safety and compliance.Proficient in Microsoft Office, and event planning tools.Location:Somerset WestSalary:R22k - R25k per month depending on experienceStarting Date:January 2025Position Type:Full time permanent position based in office.Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not been contacted by a recruiter from ARVO within 4 weeks of applying.Please apply online.
