Operations AnalystThe Operations Analyst is responsible for overseeing and optimising operational planning processes ensuring efficient resource allocation, scheduling, and decision-making to support the company's objectives.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlanning and Scheduling:Oversee and manage the planning and scheduling processes for projects.Ensure that resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, are allocated effectively to meet project requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, assess resource availability, and manage the creation of detailed project schedules.Conduct weekly Operational meetings to advise team to adjust schedules as needed, to accommodate changes in priorities, resource constraints, or external factors.Ensure Schedule accuracy for new projects.Analyse resource utilisation data from Job clocking system (Trec) to identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency improvements.Generate and analyse resource histograms to ensure resource availability to execute order book and ensure available capacity for future projects.Assist Operation to track and manage Productivity, Efficiency and Utilisation.Performance Analysis and Reporting:Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data from various systems, to evaluate performance against key focus areas (KFAs) such as Productivity, Efficiency and Utilisation, Attendance and on-time delivery, using BI package or SQL Queries.Present findings and recommendations to GM Operations to support decision-making processes.Oversee and manage Weekly Progress Report.Manage Job clocking system and Time Clerks to ensure accuracy of data.Identify opportunities for process optimization and workflow enhancements within the planning function.Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary to drive continuous improvement.Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:Act as a liaison between the planning department and other functional areas such as production, engineering, and procurement.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations staff to ensure alignment of planning activities with project requirements and operational goals.Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on planning-related issues and help resolve conflicts or challenges as they arise.Desired Experience & QualificationMatricBachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Operations Management.At least 5 years' experience in operations planning, scheduling, or project management, preferably in a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.Proficiency in planning and scheduling software tools such as Primavera P6, as well as Microsoft Projects and Excel.Proficiency in SQL queries, and relational databases.Key Skills or Attributes:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.Knowledge of earth-moving equipment and pressure vessel manufacturing processes is desirable but not required.Package & RemunerationMarket related
