Job posting end date: 10/25/2024 Introduction We are seeking an Operational Quality Specialist to join the Operational Quality Team within Mill Lining Commercial Demand and Supply Control. You will be responsible for claim coordination, processing, and communications within the Mill Lining business and for our critical stakeholders and customers. You will coordinate Mill Lining operational quality cases and projects, manage actions related to open claims, and provide fact-based quality communication for the business line and stakeholders. Your role plays a crucial part in securing the success of our new operating model, which will contribute to the strategy and success of Mill Lining's business line. In this position, you will report to Kyle Coghlan, Manager, Operational Quality. This position can be located in Finland or South Africa. We are also happy to offer flexible working arrangements. We are a new team aiming to secure great quality in our operations and secure the success of the updated Mill Lining operating model. What you'll doCoordinate warranty and non-conformance claims and act as warranty case project manager.Own actions related to claims, ensuring completion in cooperation with key stakeholders and experts.Maintain communication and reporting with the Claim Owner, Market Areas, and business line.Identify repetitive issues and assist in driving cost reduction for the Mill Lining warranty.Represent Mill Lining within the Metso quality community.Support finance with warranty reserve bookings.Support continuous improvement and ensure best practice sharing.Ensure compliance to Metso processes, policies, and guidelines.Who you are You bring several years of industry experience from the management of quality topics within your business. Diploma / B.E Mechanical with experience in Mill Lining highly desirable. Enthusiastic about generating customer value and leading through data. Goal-oriented, process driven, and fully compliant with company policies and local regulations. Strong desire to contribute to our continued success. As a collaborative team member, you have a proven track record in navigating different environments and cultures. Excellent business understanding with the ability to continuously improve operations.
