The PositionThe Opportunity Roche Diagnostics Cape Town are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team as an Operational Excellence and Transformation Manager.
As the Operational Excellence and Transformation Manager, you will support the strategic development of the Cape Town organization by developing and deploying Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Change Management, Wellness, and Continuous Learning strategies.
Key Challenges Continuous Improvement Strategy: Develop and lead a Continuous Improvement initiative in Cape Town, implementing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and other Operational Excellence tools.
Continuous Learning Strategy: Establish and lead a holistic Continuous Learning initiative, including leadership and soft skills training, going beyond daily activity training.
Wellness and Employee Engagement: Co-create wellness programs to promote a healthy work environment and enhance employee engagement, and develop people development and organizational engagement activities.
Internal Consulting and Coaching: Act as an internal consultant to lead continuous improvement or transformation activities, and establish a coaching capability to support teams, executives, and scrum masters in embedding agile methodologies.
Training and Capability Building: Design training programs and facilitate workshops for continuous learning and transformation, and actively connect with the GO Lean network and other local and global initiatives to align with core responsibilities.

Who You are as an Ideal Candidate You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Technical degree.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Preferably you have a Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related Technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
You have at least 10 years of experience.
You have experience (preferably in Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing Environments) in Operational Excellence (Lean Six Sigma), Agile, and Project Management leading projects or transformation programs/initiatives.
You have hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Experience in assessments, planning, developing, deploying, and facilitating training sessions and workshops.
Ideal Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Background in Operational Excellence methodologies and experience applying them across various industries using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile skills, or other continuous improvement approaches.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Able to take new perspectives on existing solutions, exploring and implementing new concepts and methodologies.
Demonstrated track record of effective transformational change and stakeholder management.
Ability to operate in a complex matrix environment.
