Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Align Operating Model strategies in current operational plans to current and future operational initiatives, including implementation details (tactics and work packages) for work management.Support operational line management delivery of correct allocation of resources for all approved work to be completed at the right time which includes creating of draft schedule, optimising resourcing for schedule and ensure alignment on cross function issues.Support the successful implementation & gap closure of the Operating Model at the respective site/responsible area.Be fully conversant in AAOM principles to guide & coach HODs and Line Management on Operating Model principles.Guide implementation and integration of ORM (Operational Risk Management) into AAOM principles.Manage appropriate measures for effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the scheduling process as defined in OM Work Management Measures.Implement required management routines to support the Operating Model framework (OP/WM/Feedback).Embed the alignment of Operating Model practices within all departments, conducting compliance audits and closing all identified gaps aligned to site performance requirements and target compliance to AAOM framework.Continuously improve on the framework and implementation to support successful delivery of business expectations.Propose adjustments to processes to be measured, KPIs & measures to be employed, in line with the AAOM and in close alignment with the IP&BI function.Escalation to the respective Snr Managers when OM measures is not being adhered to i.e. execution of work is posing a risk to the overall execution schedule.Ensure overall health of the discipline through regular training to new employees and refresher training to current employees on the Operating Model framework.QualificationsTrade or Diploma in Engineering, Mining, Processing or a related fieldQualification NQF Level 6Desirable Degree in Engineering, Mining, ProcessingSuccessfully completed all scheduler training modules, or equivalent (SAP)Six-Sigma and Lean qualification will be advantageousIT qualifications/experience will be advantageousSupervisory Level certificate (e.g. Senior Foreman)Experience 3 – 5 years related working experience of which at least 2 years should be at supervisory levelSAP experience will be advantageous(OP, Work Management & Feedback) will be advantageousProcessing value chain core operations understandingProcess Planning and Planning softwareSystems development and implementationProgramming experience will be advantageousAsset maintenance experience will be advantageousKnowledge and Skills Proficient skills in practical application of how operational processes are classified according to the Operating Model with a bias towards Work ManagementWorking knowledge of key value drivers within discipline's value chain and interdependence of key leversProficient skill in influencing and stakeholder change management / buy in and general change management methodologiesExpert communication (verbal and written) skills & working with diverse teamsAdditional InformationWho We Are
