On-Site Engineers Wind Towers Contract 6 months to 2 years Location : South Africa Number of Positions : 10+ Salary: R60 000 90 000 pm International Company, specialising in the mechanical installation, electrical installation, and commissioning processes for wind turbines seeks On-Site Engineers to be the installation and commissioning of wind power equipment, including the installation of wind turbines, towers, blades, and preliminary system testing.
Job Responsibilities: 1.
Responsible for or involved in the installation and commissioning of wind power equipment, including the installation of wind turbines, towers, blades, and preliminary system testing.
2.
Execute regular maintenance plans, perform routine inspections of wind power equipment, identify and resolve faults, ensuring efficient operation of the equipment.
3.
Manage and maintain project-related documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, progress reports, etc.
4.
Ensure all construction activities meet the companys quality requirements and standards.
Participate in project quality inspections and audits, promptly identify and resolve quality issues.
5.
Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and other project stakeholders, and promptly resolve any issues that arise.
Job Requirements : 1.
Familiarity with the mechanical installation, electrical installation, and commissioning processes for wind turbines (or energy storage systems).
2.
Ability to independently guide and supervise the installation company in performing electrical and mechanical installation work for wind turbines (or energy storage systems).
3.
Clear understanding of quality control requirements for on-site wind turbine (or energy storage system) installation and commissioning, with the ability to promptly identify non-compliance by installation companies and push for improvements.
4.
At least 2 years of experience working on wind power (or energy storage system) project sites.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with Envision wind turbines or those with overseas wind turbine (or energy storage system) project experience.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Engineering , preferably in: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Renewable Energy Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Certifications/Training (preferred but not mandatory): Wind Energy-specific training or certification.
GWO (Global Wind Organisation) Certification (Basic Safety Training, Basic Technical Training).
Working at Heights certification.
Electrical and Mechanical Safety Training.
